I just did a budget (first one since I was a poor uni student) of where last pay day's money went, and I must say that I'm shocked, SHOCKED at how much money I spent. Last weekend, a "quiet one" because I'm in debt, I managed to blow $500 on booze and nightclub entry. $650 if you throw in the pirate gear. Not even any cheap floozies, nothing like that. Just piss. No wonder I'm so friggin broke.
Is this what happens to memory? Is this why some people say they can't remember anything after drinking? I never thought I had that problem because I can remember the events of the weekend without a problem.. clearly I have selective memory loss with respect to money.
I always just assumed that things like gym and motorcycle loan payments came out automatically and that's why I never had any money. These budget things are a great idea!
Think I'd better start thinking of the children...
