Code!

Bricolage · 2007-12-19 14:58

The OSR site is all up and running! After about 6 months of development we can finally say that we have a website that is compliant with the NSW government style directive. Every single one of those pages is valid XHTML 1.0.

Bricolage is the CMS that makes it all possible. This is the same CMS that runs Salon.com and the WHO sites among others. The main reason I was hired by this company was to evaluate the various CMS offerings, and out of all of them, only Bricolage could actually fulfil the scalability demands that were required, the single reason being that Bricolage does NOT try to be a content delivery mechanism.

Look at any CMS out there, a random user hitting the front page could generate any number of database calls and/or processes. What could be more scalable than plain old HTML?

PS: anyone looking for a Bricolage developer in the Sydney area? :-)
